Golf Course Update 6/13/23

The golf course is coming along nicely. We’ve had some nice sun and some timely rain that have helped us. We had a hard thunderstorm this weekend…it was nice to see the new bunkers perform well.

Greens are extremely healthy and are beginning to speed up. We have lowered heights to .120” and are rolling for speed and smoothness when possible.

We still have many small areas in fairways that are recovering from snow mold, but they have shown great improvement over the last two weeks. Elk urine spots continue to be a problem.

Eight fairway has filled in quite well and will be open to cart traffic before the Campbell. We will continue to aerify and seed small areas throughout the rest of the season on this hole. We’re currently mowing that fairway at a slightly higher height and will have it down to fairway height again by mid-July.

Heritage Links have finished the bunkers on hole 10 and we will be bringing these into play just as soon as the sod is rooted in. Concrete liners and sand are completed on 18; sod will be completed soon. Next up are 11 and 17 with concrete liners and then they will continue 12 forward until the back nine is complete.
