Job Summary

Managers at Iron Horse Golf Club ensure that the highest level of service is offered to the members of Iron Horse by providing the member with personal, gracious and professional service.

The Manager is responsible for front of house food and beverage service staff. Directly supervise the Dining Room serving staff. Help train and supervise services staff

Qualifications

Restaurant management degree or equivalent food & beverage experience required.
Previous experience in a private club preferred
Previous supervisory experience in food & beverage event production required
Familiar with all liquor service laws and health/sanitation codes

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assures that effective orientation and training for new staff and professional development activities for experienced staff are planned and implemented.
  2. Inspects to ensure that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventative maintenance and other standards are consistently met
  3. Manages the long-range staffing needs of the department
  4. Ensures that all legal requirements are consistently adhered to including wage and hour and federal, state and/or local laws pertaining to alcoholic beverages
  5. Greets guests and oversees actual lunch/dinner service.
  6. Addresses member and guest complaints and advises F & B Manager about appropriate corrective actions taken
  7. Support the Club Standards manual with Iron Horse Employees.
  8. Handle personnel problems as they arise, including investigation, resolution and discipline as required.
  9. Scheduling of personnel and equipment to meet the needs of daily dining room operations, including special food & beverage functions.
  10. Planning and implementing procedures for special club events and banquet functions
  11. Maintains appearance of the dining room and kitchen facilities in the best condition possible.
  12. Motivates and develops staff including cross-training and promotion of personnel.
  13. Undertakes special projects as assigned by the F & B Manager.

Physical Requirements

While working the employee must twist, stoop/bend, squat, kneel, climb stairs, walk indoors and out, reach above shoulder height, reach at shoulder height, and reach below shoulder height.  The employee must also be able to lift and carry 10 to 50 lbs regularly and over 50 lbs occasionally.  This includes carrying ice buckets (approx. 25 lbs), cases of various beverages (15+ lbs), and assisting other F&B staff with table / chairs.  Pushing and pulling is done regularly.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Sets up side station and performs assigned side work
  2. Provides immediate attention to all members/guests upon seating
  3. Answers questions and-suggests menu items
  4. Takes members’/guests’ orders
  5. Places alcoholic beverage orders with the bar and serves accordingly
  6. Provides wine service for each table according to the wine selection ordered
  7. Places orders with kitchen; informs cooks about any special cooking instructions
  8. Assembles food on tray; procures items from each station as necessary
  9. Serves meal; places dishes by courses in front of each person
  10. Checks back to ensure member/guest satisfaction; replenishes water and other beverages as necessary
  11. Removes soiled dishes
  12. Suggests and serves dessert, coffee, and after dinner drinks
  13. Verifies accuracy of prices, state and federal taxes, service fees and other charges on all guest checks
  14. Presents the guest check – when required
  15. Handles all credit card charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures
  16. Keeps tables, dining room and bus station areas clean
  17. Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur
  18. Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager
  19. Attends pre-meal meetings as requested by the Dining Room Supervisor or Dining Room Manager
  20. Assists with set-up, service and breakdown for special club buffets, tournaments, activities, etc.
  21. Assist with other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Summary

Prepare menu items and food products in accordance with recipes and procedures.
Prepare golf course snack huts according to par sheets or instructions from supervising chef.  Cook products assigned to his/her station. Clean-up work-station and kitchen as per procedures

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year in service industry.

Serve-Safe certification preferred
Possess a valid driver’s license (if utilizing company vehicles)

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Maintains proper inventory for food and beverage products for golf course snack hut
  2. Prepares all food items related to golf course snack hut
  3. Ensures that all food products are rotated on a timely basis to maximize freshness
  4. Prepares food in accordance with established recipes
  5. Sets up, maintains, breaks down and cleans golf course snack hut service area
  6. Serves items in accordance with established portion and presentation standards
  7. Notifies supervising chef in advance of expected shortages
  8. Ensures that assigned work station and equipment are clean and sanitary
  9. Maintains security and safety in work areas
  10. Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules
  11. Requisitions supplies needed to produce items on menu
  12. Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations
  13. Covers, dates and properly stores all leftover products that are re-usable
  14. Utilize utility/golf carts for delivery and pick up of food products to various satellite food stations.
